Medjoul date smoothie

Packed with nutrients and sweetened with our fudgy Medjoul dates, this is a delicious smoothie after a work-out or a healthy snack alternative at any time of day.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom 
  • 2 tablespoon almond butter, tahini or a nut butter of your choice
  • 1 cup of plant milk
  • 5 Medjoul dates, chopped
  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon toasted almond or coconut flakes

METHOD

Place all the ingredients except the almond/coconut flakes in a food processor and blend on high speed until smooth, for about 1-2 minutes. Serve in glasses and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and toasted almond/coconut flakes. Drink immediately.
